Away

Away

A Poem by Fran Marie

Distant
Thunder crys
out your name

Wild winds whip
as rain taps the
window pane

Thoughts of you
run rampant in my
heart
wishing we were
back together but were
not.

Yet I hold your memory close
How your gentle power
rendered me senseless
and under your spell
lie all my senses

But what I miss the most
Is when you took me away
to a place called love.

I loved this

But what I miss the most
Is when you took me away
to a place called love.
