Fudge Fruitcake

Oh, that dreaded F-Word
Yes, I know.
But to this Fudge Fruitcake
you won't say no.
 
It's has lots and lots of rich chocolate
So very tasty and chewy
No icky-sicky things that are gooey
It's sweet and divine and oh so fine
The only fruit in it, is a dash of red wine
made from the grapes off the vine
 
Threw in some Mocha- Cappuccino
for extra flavor and extra Caffeine-O
Hazelnut Coffee in this cake too
with a cuppa joe for added boost.
 
This high- power- packed cake will have you flyin'
Wired and up to maximum take off flight
So much energy you'll have, hey! I'm not lyin'
Eat it, morning,noon and night.
 
Why you should eat this cake?
Here's one good reason
You have to have that energy
to make it thru~ this Holiday Season.
 
And also this Caffeine loaded fruitcake cake
Will definitely keep you AWAKE!

Love this I’m supposed to be on low sugar pre diabetic diet but my weakness is a Lindt ball choc or mars bar which I succumb to if stressed. Loved this description made my sugar veins boil in a good way lol thanks for entry into my competition good luck

Yeah this was a really quirky poem. I kind of like fruit cake, to be honest. the gooey things taste like skittles sometimes. But when you talked about the fudge and the other flavors..... sorry. I had to wipe the drool off the keyboard.

Let the gods be praised... she found a way to make fruitcake edible! Just take out the fruit and replace it with wine, chocolate, and coffee. Love the concept. The poem was fun, it had a few lines that stumbled along, but if you weren't going for a strict rhyme scheme, that's ok. Happy Holidays and Happy Writing!
