The first two lines work well together. Obviously the first feeds the second. I'm a little let down by the third one though. It seems a bit mundane, plain. Roses are always used when a flower is needed and so many more speak of the concept of angel: Lilies of the Valley, Kalla Lilies, babies breath. Those are the white ones, but the colors can come from other flowers too: Gloxinia, Fire plant, Sweet Pea (and the little curly vines make me think of cherubs), have you ever seen a field of brown eyed susans? The fragrance of a rose can be beat by sweet verbina or Peonies or honeysuckle, or Irises or (my favorite) lilacs. I suppose you could even get more than one in the Foxglove.
I loved looking at all of those flowers again or I never would have given you such a huge list. LOL! I feel that the better of the Haiku have an aha! at the end. A phrase that goes well with the other two lines but isn't one that would be thought of until it is read and is obvious.
BTW long time no read. I've been rubbing elbows with the Limerick boys over at OEDILF. Been having a blast!
