Darlin'~you're all i want

Darlin'~you're all i want

A Poem by Fran Marie

Santa Baby all I want is.....

I told ole Santa
    time and time again
what i truly want fer Christmas
but, i think he don't understand

He brings me silly things
like gadgets needin battries' all the time
and flannel jammies, and woolen socks
a itchin' they drives me out of my mind

not to mention that stale ole fruity-tootie- cake
he keeps putting in ma stockin'
ifen i told him once,
i told him a dang hundered times
i wants sumthin' really rockin!

so i'm given' 'Ole Claus, jes one mor chance
fer him to get it right
done told him
Darlin',you're all i want for Christmas
and he better bring you to me come Christmas nite!

I'm glad I found this in my reading library . . . it helps extend the Christmas spirit to last all thru this week! I love your playful approach to seducing Santa. You use fun playful uninhibited expressions to refer to many recognizable aspects of the holiday (stale ole fruity-tootie cake) . . . all the while hinting at wanting something quite different to pump up the fun of the season! A perfect poem to read on a wet and windy day... your words have turned on a light! As for that Santa, he can't always be trusted these days!

Fingers crossed he gets it right this year Fran. I will just be happy if he takes the hint that musical socks have no place in my life :)
