A Poem by Fran Marie
"

~Sonnet~

"

Softly you whisper sweet love words to me

spinning my heartbeat to sublime pleasure

tripping my senses to pure ecstacy

tenderly you give this divine treasure

Slowly you trace fingertips thru~my hair

falling, I'm falling, yet again for you

reeling, feeling, you are taking me there

fluidly you sense love's fulfillment too

Blissfully we do meld as soul mates one

rising our spirits to soar the blue skies

spending each compassion under the sun

knowingly,a love such as ours ne'er dies

Softly, I surrender my love to thee

              tenderly, pledging all eternity

This is even prettier than the last one ('your touch'). I love sonnets, and I never thought I would read a better one than Shakespeare's Sonnet XXVI (26), but you proved me wrong. I like this one. It shows lust at first, but then melts into love, and I like the transition. It's not trashy, or sleezy. It's sexy, but not in the sex way. Does that make sense? I mean to say that it has an air of sexy and sweet mixed with intensity and romance. I'm just impressed. Again. Good job.

This is like a classic love poem from the eighteenth century... eloquent and timeless.
