Trance

Trance

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

In a Trance

"

A trance that's what it was alright
I remember it well, it was November.
  that night you asked me
to your cabin in the mountain.

you hypnotized me with
                 sweet soft words, then your
undivided attention and kisses
as we lie entwined in a lover's
embrace, on the bear skin rug

yes,by a glowing amber fireplace
all snugly warm as the night winds
howled outside the window, and snow
silently drifted thru~ the chilled night air.

I was mesmerized as you reached
for me so completely and melted under
your touch so soothing,I held the moment
as you turned it into a blissful night of love

best of all you wanted me there to stay
but I had to go at dawn~ and so I did
driving home in a trance
                             but darlin' I'll be back!

It is indeed hard not to read this as if in a trance, the flow and the feel of the words pulling us along on this romantic tale. There remains a casual feel to the polished form presented, that does not let it slip off beyond our reach but rather keeps us within that tempting embrace of a daydream that forms with each new line.

Thanks project 22 so very much appreciate your review on my poetry
This is so romantic. This makes me happy to know that there are still some romantic people out there. Not everyone is looking for sex of f*****g, some people want love and want to be able to make love to that person.

What a subtly and romantically described night, a trance indeed .. without resource to infinite details. A private passion, hopefully repeated - in your imagination if not for real!

I love the last line and this is a very romantic piece that shows the soft side of love with passion. It doesn't have grand details but rather lets the mind form its own vision of what is taking place and that is true stunning work.

wow, fran, this is stunningly wisping and enchanting in a realistic sense of appreciation and admiration that lends beautifully to the overall tender, heartfelt, loving, cuddling, sweet and passionate, treatured ambience set adrift, like the warmth breath of a lover against the neck, you present such a dreamscape
of wonderment, the reader can't help but be taken to another place and time, I loved the warm wording, skill and metaphorical romancing concepts that are soft as the moon is bright, on a perfect winter night,
you have talent, its always a pleasure to indulge in your creativity my friend
