A Paper Heart
A Poem by Fran Marie
I write my heart on paper 'tis thinner than autumn leaves and these tears I cannot taper to put my mind at ease
my delicate heart surrendered for a true love I wanted to share showing emotions tendered proving how much I cared
I write my spirit to the winds and tho~the ink has dried my soul sealed in sadness descends for this paper heart has died

I'm not sure about the word 'tis in the first stanza, it doesn't seem to gel, maybe? But the third stanza is genuinely beautiful. Seriously. Wow.

this is completely lovely. great job with the prose. It is done in a classical style but I think holds more emotion than the classics, even.

Oh so melancholic... But lovely. It's tender and light but piercing in its final and firm tone... Great job :)

The tragism of opening your heart and having it wounded is expressed in very ,,delicate,, terms.
I like it :) .
