Away

Away

A Poem by Fran Marie

Distant
  thunder crys
      out your name

Wild winds whip
    as rain taps the
             window pane

Thoughts of you
  run rampant in my heart

wishing we were back
             together but we're not

Yet I hold your memory close
            how your gentle power
             rendered me senseless and
under your spell lie all my senses

But what I miss the most
Is when you took me away
                    to a place called love.

A place called love? Does it exist or do we make it up in wakening dreams? Nice poem Fran

Wow Fran again you displayed such great emotions... the bitter sweetness of this piece is done with great care... Great work.

This is really a beautiful write. Kinda lonely and sad... but gentle and warm too.

How cute. The begining was remarkable, by the way.

Yeah, what a bummer, huh? If only wishing could make it so. But it doesn't.

And as always, Fran, your poetry is beautifully executed.

Hugs...
