Like smoldering embers my dear
  I cannot stop this love I have
    and oh how I wish you were here
     to make my ev'ry heartbeat glad
       Wishing you back, just to be near
          A gentle kiss once given me
              tenderness I wish 
                     reappear

 

 

Remembering your sweet caress
 and your honey-kissed lips divine
   These are treasures I surely miss
     wishing with heart; they still were mine
        Without you, my life is in a mess
          now there's no hope,nor slightess trust
             to take your place, I must
                    Confess

 

 

Darling, you made me feel complete
 and tho~we have drifted apart.
   No one anywhere can compete
     you're still the lovesong in my heart.
      Tho~my heartstrings, you played not sweet
        Like worn guitar's sad melody
            and left for me only
                    Defeat.

Nice artwork. Very unique. I also like the format of your poem. In terms of your piece taking on a story from the art, you've done a very good job. The art alone is powerful but with your words, its hard to ignore. There is a simplicity in your writing, and not in a bad way. Which is what love is. Love is the simplest thing in the world. It is the people that fall in it, that make it so complicated and painful. You captured taht simplicity as well as that pain. Good work.
