I really liked the title and after reading the poem I felt its meaning. People often liken poetry to painting. But likening poetry to dancing is so fitting with all of its connotations, like to fighting, linking to Churchill's "bleed" quote about writing. We fight with ourselves to get it all out, don't we? Wonderfully explained and expressed poetry. tyfs

I s o appreciate🌷
You make poetry come alive in this piece, lots of movement to express your emotions...the colors, the flow, the ink which spills onto the page like a dancer twirling on stage....remembering those special times in the written word with a dancer in your mind's eye....harmony between art, music and poetry.
Lovely Fran!
Best, B
What a lovely dance that is a joy to be a part of. Your words bring music to life and allow the two silhouettes to move so gracefully. Beautifully done.
I had long been aware of the connection of poetry and song, but somehow never linked it to dance. Here, though, we see the likening of words to "little spirits/ performing like ballerinas." And in the last verse we read of art guiding the hand to create a new dance of words. Seen this way, the creative impulse can manifest in many ways, many arts. Same muse, different presentations.
Wonderful dance of creativity. All art comes from a single place within and throughout. They are merely siblings to one another. All in their higher forms of beauty.

Thank you Carlos..so
much appreciate your kind words
on this one
I think our muses are the artists as our intentions are often times derailed by our muses and the result is a piece of art that we did not intend yet, beautiful nonetheless. As is this poem. A beautiful poem to read. Thank you. Temp
