Winter's Frosted Breath

Winter's Frosted Breath

A Poem by Fran Marie

rain and snow

sought her fragile bones..drying
sleep escaped her dim eyes
night shades of blues dusted
her forgetful mind
still she never complained

a myriad of miseries hugged her
vibrations ~ blocking all hopes
trapping sunshine from entering
her humble existence..

spring daffodils no longer danced
in her world~ she, now a shadow
of herself waiting to die
with winters frosted breath

The above lives. I loved. When Winter takes over us and we want silence. What is left? Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Your so welcome
A sorrowful scene of someone who is dying a slow, painful death. I like your use of color to describe her condition...Sunshine being blocked so she sustains her decreasing health....and ultimately becomes a shadow of herself. her I really like how you crafted your words and your imagery to show the reader the slow decline.
Best, B
