She~An Enigma

She~An Enigma

A Poem by Fran Marie

She~a deep enigma

her aura set in dazed wonder
her green eyes
asking haloed hazed questions
in moonlight mist
shining no light on shallow waters

she wades in deeper seeking truth
off set by her lover's lies~
his fake facade

still she sees his face surface
in sea's waves of wonder
as she wanders

her days measured
growing nauseous without him
an enigma locked within
her lover's icy blue eyes

It seems as if she is try to seek the truth about her lover’s lies
In his icy blue eyes….and as she waxes deeper into the shallows, she may find out about reality. However, she still shows love for him, misses him. This is so well written and I love the photo the fits it perfectly.

This is really amazing, Fran.
His icy blue eyes are a web of lies, and she knows, but yet she still finds herself trapped by them,

Always....
In my humble opinion, this excels. Wonderful descriptions. Deep thoughts here, a definite sadness but not without hope.

Well done.

Fran open eyes on an old man who can see two worlds could it be love a man has for a woman or a hate a woman has for man, I had to read again but was confused of how I would reply because I'm a man and you're a woman I think as a writer there's a conflict of interest.
Thank you for sharing.

If she feels nauseous without him now, wait until she gets back with him. Those icy blue eyes connect to a heart of the same temperature.

Such a lovely poem yet, sad at the discovery of her lover's lies. We do seek more truth when we uncover lies. There is always the "why", what is he hiding, why the need to lie, etc., etc. It is difficult to walk away from someone who was loved so and, unbelievable that he would lie. It does make one nauseous. I really like this one Fran and, the picture is perfect for it. Temp

for reading..much appreciated💙
his love or lack of it still hypnotizes her in some respect.
She doesn't even realize that loving him is making her disintegrate...
the imagery is stunning and the alliteration makes me hear the sea...and then her shame...as she blames herself for his blemishes.
