Pressed Rose

Pressed Rose

A Poem by Fran Marie

golden rose pressed
between pages of
        a love story

played~

too many ways to misery
to be revived

silken petals~

          have withered
to winds of a sad melody

You're welcome
Yeah , I too feel sad for the rose that suffers lovers torture being pressed in books! Nice thought and well expressed!

pleasure's mine!
A Rose awakens in the Spring when golden rays of
Summer Sun penetrate your scented memories.
Be still and bloom with romantic notions to be plucked
and gathered in a Vase of Pleasure. Lovely Poetry
from a seasoned Yellow Rose trimmed in soft flames of
ecstacy. tenderly, Pat

A token of a love that bloomed and then died. I press flowers too as a reminder of significant events in life. Lovely brevity here Fran Marie with much meaning.

They do indeed. Thank you Fran :)
many can relate to this flower, Fran.
This poem actually made me think of Romeo and Juliet...
"a rose will bloom, it then will fade, so dies a youth, so dies the fairest maid"---
