This poem made me think of my childhood. I grew up in Alberta, Canada, and winter's can get to -40 there. So often, people complain about the cold, the ice, the darkness, and say how much they want the warm back. and don't get me wrong... there is plenty about those seasons that I love, obviously.
But there is such a majestic beauty about winter. The snow can look like diamonds, hoar frost makes everything look as if it's been coated in icing sugar, and when it's a full moon, it makes the night so bright, as it's light is bouncing off of the snow, and you can see almost perfectly, an effect that (obviously) doesn't happen in the summer.
This brought up some Canadian winter nostalgia for me :) thank you so much for this short, but glorious poem
I like your musings; they are so very vivid, except haven't we had enough snow? ; I think we all have spring fever now, waiting patiently for that rose to bloom; Waiting for dawn to break; a lovely time for lovers to smooch under a clear sky. Wonderful imagery.
Best, B.

I'm quite certain I have that Spring fever...went for a long walk today in the sun. Here, it's freezing one day and the next you need short sleeves. I enjoyed you descriptive poem.

so romantic. and interesting how one thing can be in front of us, and yet we write of something totally opposite...the mind workings of a poet.
I think Sylvia Plath would have loved this poem...
she loved that azure blue.
