Dancing in Shadows

Valentine's Day write

I'm dancing in shadows 

    therein ~

shines a midnight moon

       I long for you 

in silhouette shades of wishes 

 yearning for your gentle touch

     soft as morning dew drops

 kissing the palest pink rose 

 wanting life's sweet bouquet 

 scents of jasmine 

and heather blowing 

          with a murmuring breeze 

as we walk amid the valley 

     of dreams made for two 

sharing each step with you

  

 into a golden kaleidoscope

 of colorful sunbeams 

of contentment 

          and everlasting love

This was a lovely poem for valentines day. It reads as something out from a fairytale, yearning to be with the one that you love, smelling the sweet fragrance of flowers, sounds so heavenly, and romantic. Beautifully penned!
