Robin's Song

Robin's Song

A Poem by Fran Marie

Red Breasted Robin

    braving winter's snow;

soon to sing

        spring's debut~

melodies of pure enchantment

I will wait ~ I will listen

Yes, those Robin's are amazing; what do they eat all winter? But I as well, love their melodies, an yes soon they will hark in a rainbow of spring. I will listen too.!
Lovely piece Fran, just what we need in these frigid times!
Best, B.

After January, he can't come soon enough. I wonder if he's familiar with that bit about the early bird and the worm.

not a problem
I like robins. I like to watch them hop through the yard searching for worms. But my favorites by far in winter are the cardinals; especially when it snows. They look like drops of blood or holly berries against the pristine white. Something about that sharp contrast that bewitches. We get bluebirds here every spring. I can't wait to see the first one. Yesterday a goldfinch came to my feeder. It was gorgeous. And two beautiful woodpeckers came as well. I so love the little birds. Great write, my friend. I enjoyed.
