Unknown Destiny

Unknown Destiny

A Poem by Fran Marie

An outcast adrift
downstream..
  In a wooden boat bearing
your splintered pain
    muddied waters have
anointed you

and river weeds have weaved
  knotted broken dreams
 and charted
 a dark foreboding course

many fathoms deep
while you dwell in pyramid shadows
    reflecting opaque darkness..

you see those shallow phantoms
        skimming the dull surface
             along side of
 an unknown destiny

Well, this was fabulous! I enjoyed every word. The piece leaves this reader contemplating the destiny of all things. I mayn't know the whole story but I'm vaguely familiar with the Author. This was very well done! Bless. F.

Thanks Miss Sharon, for reading
much appreciated;
our destiny is always unknown, but we can face it strongly...even when the shallow phantoms try to get into our boat.
what a hauntingly beautiful piece,
j.
