Christmas Night

winter white snow
      blankets the ground
in silver shine crystals

  as I look out my front window


I gaze upon the gracious glow
        of the blue spruce tree
as it catches the last golden rays
  of sunset

          dusk soon settles.in
                      and
          Tonight is Christmas

This is a nice scenario to imagine, reading your poem...as I sit here sweating in 70 degree December weather.
Reminds me of being in Trinidad for Christmas 95 degrees and Christmas lights on the palm trees.

we could have used some snow there....

alliterative piece that just rolls off the tongue like a sled gliding through snow.
