December in The City

December in The City

A Poem by Fran Marie

In dark December
the beautiful city becomes alive
breathing delight above
and beneath glittering snow

there are new tomorrows
to make each heart glow.
their wishes granted
and dreams bestowed

lights shine bright
in the city tonight
tints of silver and gold
tis a season of hearts
being kind with
love and laughter to behold

yes, tis things as these
even a child believes
makes the city beautiful
as the magic unfolds

Yes Merry every time and I say this to you a dear friend I will never forget.
Cities light up the darkness of winter nights and brings pleasure to all, even the little ones wh take pleasure in the sparkle of the holidays… it’s magic to them….it’s also a city of kindness where we all share in the glory of what’s before our eyes….
Best, B

Thank you K..so very much😊
You do justice in capturing the hopefulness of this time of season. Where nature begins her rest before once again awakening in the vibrancy of her colors. It's in the cities and towns that colors are more prominent this time of year. While nature's hues are dull in sleep or covered white in snow. Nice poem Fran thank you for sharing your work.

dearest Fran... Silver Bells and children laughing...
'tis the Season of Christmas Joy... each Toy placed under the tree and children dreaming of sugar plums and drums a rum tum tum. The City sleeps 'till Christmas Morn... your poetry rhymes with Chapel Chimes... sweetly heard on City streets. tenderly, Pat
