3 Scoops of SugarA Poem by Fran MarieMy silly muse is back again she gets inside my head Visits me at 4 A.M. While I'm sleeping in my bed. Come On! Get Up! I got ideas, Come on and lets go write! I say 'Are You Crazy?' It's the middle of the night! She starts making quite a noise At me she does pull and tug. Next thing I know I'm standing up, with both feet on the rug. She steers me to the kitchen, It's nearing the break of dawn, we stagger to the coffee pot, and she turns the damn thing on. With sleepy eyes and tangled hair, I'm in my robe and gown. She gives me pen and paper, to write her message down. She reminds me of tinkerbell from that movie 'Peter Pan' Sprinkling golden words she flies and lies, and does the best she can. She's full of glee. such a playful sprite. Shes pours my hot coffee, and tells me what to write. Hurry Up! I can't stay long! It's getting rather late! Puts three scoops of sugar in my cup and starts her prattle and prate. I stretch and yawn and from my cup I took a drink. and turned around, then she was gone, sooner than you think! © 2009 Fran MarieFeatured Review
