A Mystery to Unfold

A Mystery to Unfold

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

Inspired by a quote

"
The past has passed
        Into the present as
I dwell contemplating
           a future unknown

each step forward
          on curious pathways
finding mysteries
 along the mystical  journey

reflecting back my heart has
conversed in dialogues with darkness
    within its own sad chambers
now seeing a guiding
        light ~it fears no more

my heart feels poetrys soul
walking in verdant green meadows.
the scent of honeysuckle as
azure artistic hues
         paint heavenly skies

turning the pages of mere mortal life
I look to bright stars connecting
the dots ~illuminating mysteries
       to discover and unfold

Life is a journey with many mysteries..until they aren't. Lovely poem Fran. .....turning the page of mere mortal life.... great line. We are mere mortals guided by our Heavenly Father (if you believe). Our life is His plan but, we have the freedom to do as we will. What is meant to be, will be. Nice work! Temp

I too look to the bright stars in a dark sky and to the natural environment to try and find some meaning to life. If you search elsewhere these days there are only needles in haystacks. A spiritual write Fran and beautifully visual. Most enjoyed.

Sylvia loved those azure skies...I hope she found the mysteries she sought once she turned those pages of mortal life.
Anne Sexton referred to Plath in a line in her poem Wanting to Die...
"a book carelessly left open" as if there were more to read...
curious pathways some choose and for others those pathways seem chosen for them.
