Nightfall

The magic of a forest breeze

  echoes nature's song..

hues of verdant green

  tinted with sun kissed rays

and friendly shadows

  dance in the distance

as winds whisper

a lilting melody

  lifting my spirits

soothing my soul

mother nature turns her face

  gazing upon the forest floor

Its trail donned

   in foliage beauty

as tall evergreen trees

stand sentry awaiting nightfall

Beautiful imagery, Fran. I felt I was strolling through a beautiful forest feeling that slight breeze. “….stand sentry awaiting nightfall.” I can imagine the tall trees and seeing them as sentries. Such an enjoyable read, Miss Fran! Thank you for sharing.
