Moonstruck

Moonstruck

A Poem by Fran Marie

I feel I could touch you
grasp your beauty
understand this man
in the moon I crave
made of silver and shine

        something happens

like magic and silk rhyme
when I gaze into your light
a night with stardust background
 as you shimmer
with your delicate stronghold
 rendering me spellbound

                in awe am I

  to have found
 your mystical glow
it's how I know that splendor
still exists as a goodnight kiss
assures another night to dream
and feel alive

dearest Fran… I am often Moonstruck… when I see the Moon move as the Earth is turning on its Axis… it is reassuring to know the Moon is always there as a Protector. Your poetry is soft and serene. tenderly, Pat

The moon in full splendour is so alluring. Mystical, magical and full of enchantment. We are drawn to its magnetic charm. Who can fail to be enthralled by that silver, shimmering globe. Beautiful imagery Fran.

I think the moon has always held humanity in a kind of spell. When it's full and the weather is mild enough to enjoy it outdoors, it does take on a mystical aura. The way it controls the tides is pretty cool, too.
