thoughtful and inspiring .. makes me think of Jesus Christ's decent into hell upon His death .. how it needed to be done ... convincing such darkness it had won .. and in three days Jesus rose from the dead of His own volition ... showing for all time the grave does not have dominion .. not the darkness ... a sure tether for all those of Faith .. through all things .. as a wise friend, mentor and/or parent .. all these things come to mind in reading your powerful senryu .. it certainly is a foible to crash down or fly too high .. mighty fine stuff for me Fran Marie! ... it also brings to mind a very special song for me by Bette Midler .. "Wind beneath my wings"

Thank you, Fran, if I can come up with a haiku or senryu that I'm satisfied with that meets my own obsessive standards for good work I will definitely submit it. I am still very much a novice trying to crack the riddle that is these two remarkable art forms in poetry. I will try to see if I can get something submitted. Thank you though for the opportunity you provide the community in creating contests that the many writers can enter. A lot of love, care, and time goes into events like that. As well as responsibilities required of you. It shows how much you love the art itself and the community created from it. So thank you for your dedication.
