A poetry moment

it lasts for only a while

sometimes bringing 

a reason for lips

to form a smile

then there are hard lines;

harsh words which make 

your eyes cry

maybe not understanding why

 darkness comes calling

carrying a dreadful death tone 

and there you stand 

with heart in hand

feeling the intense 

deep depth of a poem

it's a poetic moment 

to make readers think

to address it and press it

to write your soul down

in poetry's heartfelt ink

I love your title & your poem supports your snappy main idea mightily! From my perch, your way of describing a poetic moment seems to be mostly in terms of emotion . . . like when we're feeling it strongly, that's the poetic moment we need to capture & convey the intensity. For me, most poetic moments are fleeting funny tweaks & bizarre ways of looking at life. those moments come at a time of their own choosing...and if we try to force them, we end up with blank paper...but if we just allow them the freedom to come when they want to, they will...
and we will benefit greatly from the words, with the words and find poems under our tree.
