I love your title & your poem supports your snappy main idea mightily! From my perch, your way of describing a poetic moment seems to be mostly in terms of emotion . . . like when we're feeling it strongly, that's the poetic moment we need to capture & convey the intensity. For me, most poetic moments are fleeting funny tweaks & bizarre ways of looking at life. There are millions of poets capturing the poetic moments braced by emotions, as you describe, so I try to capture oddball moments that hardly any other poets do! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Us, who love to write. The words come to us. I write poetry in my dreams dear Fran.
"it's a poetic moment
to make readers think
to address it and press it
to write your soul down
in poetry's heartfelt ink"
I liked and I understood the above lines. Hello from Michigan and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

The inspiration may be fleeting. Always worth having paper and pen handy. So easy to lose the moment. My muse is most active at night while everyone else sleeps, so I have pen and paper on the bedside table. Thank you for sharing your experiences Fran Marie. All good wishes.

You're right; sometimes inspiration is there for a fleeting moment and then it's gone. By all means, drop everything you can and pay attention when it occurs.
