Lonely Sunsets

Lonely Sunsets

A Poem by Fran Marie

Love

only
 seems to be
   just tears and pain,
        and hours waiting alone
                                in the rain

Hopes denied,
  Sad sunsets and swallowed pride

Days are warm, but I'm so cold,
and all I have are memorires to hold

As lonely deep red sunsets chaperone
the sleepless nights I cry alone

First this is excellent, expression of the wanting of love or the missing of love. Great write and I love the red ink as well. Still... sometimes those memories keep us from finding new love, sometimes it is next to us or in front but we are busy looking at something else. I have felt this alot in my life, loving, wanting and desiring a person who is too busy loving, wanting and desiring someone else. and I have done the same to be honest. I believe in love and feel we can all have it, or refind it. Excellent write again, I love this one~

Fran...there are so many ways in which one can feel lonliness. One can feel alone in the midst of a crowd...but being alone with nothing but sad memories and no one to talk to is the most alone anyone can be. Your beautiful, sad write is saturated with lonliness. Very good my friend.

Fran ,
You make the loneliness of heartbreak sound so romantic. I know that that sounds wierd but you've managed to make the pain feel beautiful. This is a true deminstration of skill from a writer with pain to share. Loved it !
