`Your~Love`

`Your~Love`

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

love

"

Lazy clouds drifted high overhead
in an azure sky
and for a brief Second
Happy was I

A crown of daffodils framed the
hillside in golden hue
and happy was I
to be, this day with you

For naught had I a plan
for such sudden bliss
as I succumbed
to your gentle caress
and happy was I
suduced by your kiss

Heavens opened show
to a lunar delight
bewildered by a magic maze
of stars, my heart took flight
and happy was I
under your spell, this night

For all glorious things on earth
and heavenly things above
happy was I
to have your love

This poem leaves open several paths of interpretation. She was happy on that night because she loved him and they were together.
She was happy because this was the night she found love.
or she was happy this last night and none after.

I dearly love the description of the night sky. When it's very dark--I mean no lights within a hundred miles dark, the sky is so full of stars you can't think of them as a maze. This is a much more recognized smattering of stars.

See? That's why I'm a fan!

Wonderful! I like the backwards phrasing you've used on many of the sections! I also really like the second and fourth stanzas. Good job! :D
