Evil^He Comes~SonnetA Poem by Fran Marie
He had weary eyes of a thin disguise but profound evil lurked behind their mask Driven by a cold dark force I surmise damned to perform bold ghastly sins of death
Evil, he comes on wings of midnight mist like the hounds of hell he roams the dark earth Rising from coffin to give you death's kiss savoring your blood, 'tis his vampire's curse
Oh, that you could flee this evil which comes and unbound the chains to free your doomed soul Loring night's evil into morn's bright sun and perish to phantom dust evermore
'Alas, such evils with a thin disguise possess much power behind weary eyes © 2009 Fran MarieFeatured Review
