Lonely Heart

Lonely Heart

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

Word Acrostic

"

IT'S a lonely heart,but do not cry

BETTER to leave weeping for the willows

TO keep your eyes dry, rather than

HAVE lonely tear stained pillows.

LOVED ones may disappear, once, twice

AND time and time again, you're feeling

LOST and hurting, I can feel your pain.More

THAN anything, matters of one's heart runs deep

NOT to mention, the long lonely nights of lost sleep

TO pace the floor and wonder why love walked out

HAVE doubts you can survive with a love that is no more

LOVED lost souls, are left with leftover teardrops to weep

AT the end with or without love's amend

ALL is not lost, you must simply try again.

Well I'm always a soft touch for an 'Word Acrostic" and you had me from the first stanza! LOL

Seriously, this was good, very good indeed. I liked the line you used, but honestly I never
really understood this, "Its better to have loved than not to have loved at all." I guess its
just how you look at it, at what your experiences have been. Anyway all that aside it made
for a superb Acrostic my friend.

Thank you again for submitting this to my contests and for "Keeping the Dream Alive"! ~ Helena
