Love Divine

Love Divine

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

The Pleiadic Form

"

I still recall the first day that we met
A moment in time I just can't forget.

I still recall each word you said to me
It's as if our meeting was meant to be.

I remember the first day that we kissed
'Twas heavenly Divine,sweet gentle bliss.

When I think of us, how and when we met
A rainy May day,we got soaking wet.

How ever could we imagine or know?
A moment in one day, a love would grow.

Our thoughts and feelings we did so relate
We'll wed in due time,I just can't stand~ wait.

As our love grows, Tho~ older we may get
We'll share the memories,we won't forget.

Wow! That's interesting to know. I have never heard of this form of poetry;
I have, of course, heard of and know what iambic pentameter is;
then I paid attention after reading your helpful description,
to the seven stanzas, and in rhyme-
The rhythm of your poetry is so sweet,
so gentle,
so loving and kind,
that you almost have a gentle hand caressing lonely words that are
brought together for such (wedded) bliss.

Congratulations!

Marriage can be a beautiful thing if it is to the person God has chosen for us,
and the person the universe's plates have shifted us to in the direction of true purpose;
fulfillment,
and I am full of life and vigor whenever I sit in the stillness of tranquility,
reading your beautiful poetry.

This is absolutely brilliant!! I LOVED it!! The idea of reconstructing the first stanza was great and it adds a great effect to the poem!! The message is touching and sweet... It's a favorite!!!
