Solid Gold

Solid Gold

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

Kyrielle Form

"

Sharing the highs and lows of life
Making it thru~struggles and strife
A marriage of laughter and tears
'Twas solid gold all thru~the years

Soulmates they were, with love so strong
Their's~a special unbreaking bond
and silver linings brought good cheers
"Twas solid gold all thru~ the years

Now both,of them in golden age
lean together to turn life's page
as strands of gold turned to gray hairs
Twas solid gold all thru~ the years

Now gold caskets lie side by side
They passed from gold to platinum high
but tis no need to shed sad tears
'Twas Solid Gold all thru~ the years

you did a very good job in telling a story within this form, a challenge in itself... You had a solid refrain as well... I think the rhyme scheme you chose is spot on for the piece... good job and thanks for entering!

What matters is how we enjoy life, and how we enjoy life with that special someone.

This poem has good form, good rhythm, and very good choice of words.

This is a very good piece.
