Poison! you were a poison running thru~ my veins,
giving you up would be hard.
I thought our's was a love which would last an eternity, yet
it's not how long you live, but what your morals say.

My spirit still rides wild with the winds and yet,
as I stand by the river's edge in the midnight air trying to clear
my thoughts,on what I will tell you.
my fantasies clash with the realities of life.

I am so saddened as I look at the new moon, its phase
for lovers has disapperaed from view
my fate sealed by a last goodbye kiss my darling.

I feel dark shadows crossing, ending at hell's gate
as I wait for you tonight,to bid you farewell forever.
A poison love fraught with ill gain, 'tis naught right
'tis, but consumed desires, by darkened souls,
bound and locked in crimson chains of a forbidden love.

I tried to rationalize why we should not continue
this poison flow of illicit- passion, but I cannot, for
I cannot bear the thought of gaining you to only
lose you to another,as your own morals are not
the measure of the man,I need.
Honor is not your strength.

Even as I tell you this my heart breaks, making
me feel barbaric, yet a certain freedom now crowns
my soul, I can attain a higher purpose, and retain my morals
in knowing I broke the magic spell of you,my love,my poison!
