what magnificent imagery here in this poem, it's so rich in form and just brings a breath of fresh air while reading this art-like write. as I read it, the whole scene came alive, like in a pleasant run through of magical moments. Strawberries and sunflowers - nothing like it, great imagery and wonderful expressions throughout the poem. enjoyed reading it. Thank you Fran.
A rarity, Fran... a romantic poem worth reading again and again. The imagery here is spectacular. By the third reading, I was thinking of the aromas and tastes, maybe some good wine with those strawberries on a moonlit night, rain falling on a tin roof. A perfect day/night captured in this poem.

I'm green with envy at such romantic writing. I'm not a romantic, but this is irresistible . . . nobody could read this without wishing to be one or the other of your couple. Great use of alliteration & other "sound" effects that make your words read like a tumbling brook. The title captures two of the most iconic aspects of "summer" for me! My strawberries have been so huge & red this summer! Thanks for taking me on a romantic scamper (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

thanks dear Margie
I so appreciate your
reviews as always;
Picked fruit, cut flowers evoke the senses. Sunflowers, sweet tasting fruit, all speak to me of summer. Something wonderful about strawberry picking and sampling as you go. And those raindrops on lips, add to the romance. Nicely set up for a night of loving.
