Some people hit the jackpot & end up with a lifelong mate that's still pleasing after all these years. The rest of us are like this poem, recycling that one promising interlude that fuels all our subsequent imaginings. I hate to admit it, but I've gotten so old & lazy, I'd rather live an easy-peasy fantasy life like in your poem, than to deal with a crotchety human being in the flesh by my side! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

'See you in My Dreams Babe'
This kind of writing never gets old. We all enjoy it, to be reminded of the importance of close relationships.From a first kiss to a lifelong dream and commitment together. This poem sings the right song. Well done and as you say in last stanza;
'take these things i
now offer accept the
gift of love I give
it's yours..for time
is fleeing from our grasp
yet we have tonight..until dawn breaks
I'll see you in my dreams babe.'
Even if the hope of love is just in one's dreams.

OK Fran Marie, Bye bye for now. See you next time.
This is about the more pleasurable avenues of touch. I thinks anyway.
Most people are terrible at writing about desires of the flesh. It's either on the nose or too vague. You found a middle ground. At least, in my imagination you did.

dearest Fran... an endearing poem for a
love that knows no end in a Universe where Spirits
appear in dreams of once there was you and me...
where kisses were given freely and hearts were held closely.
A song without end... an eternity. truly, Pat

How tenderly beautiful and touching. This was like a taste of hot cocoa on a cold winter's evening, comforting, warm and sweet. I greatly enjoyed!

in dreams we can touch, even if in daylight, waking hours, distance is the proverbial word of the moment.
We reach out for each other in our imagination...
lovely and timely piece of writing.
