Stirring the ashes of your memory dear in an empty fireplace no longer ablazed with warming cheer whence we raptured in love's embrace
Remembering it, seems a lifetime ago as once I held you near These memories fade all too slow and the cost of loss is dear
Flashing thoughts of a time, I cannot put away of nights spent loving you Now anguish clasps my heart each day in tones of midnight blue
Reminecsing preoccupies my mind and soul and tears fall thru~ fingers of each early dawn as days drag meanlessly and mundanly along even when the rivers run dry~I'll still have no resolve.
The good memories of a love that was, but is no more only serve to make us more lonely.
One can spend their life recalling memories of a love that was meant to be forever...
and the memories and the loneliness WILL be forever. A wonderful write for this challenge
Fran. The loneliness is in every line.

Have you ever published anything yet ? You really should consider going broad with your work! It is phenomenal.....okay so I definitely did NOT spell that word correctly! lol
Cheers,lea
Good one Fran Marie. Well written and the last stanza I feel described
eloquently the "loneliness" of something that still has no resolve. Always
a very lonely place to be.
Thank you for this beauty of a write and for "Keeping the Dream Alive! ~ Helena
