Escaping Moments

Escaping Moments

A Poem by Fran Marie

' Escaping Moments `

Dancing was just part
of the revelry,that night
the stars also danced

your genuine love
i felt ,when taking your hand
as we left the crowd

escaping, moments
we could call our own,darling
how could we not feel

desire,found 'neath
a velvet sky and full moon
reactions of love

with wild winds howling
passion, actual heartbeats
playing tuned background

some may find it odd
perhaps comical, if so
just send in the clowns

who cares? i have you
hold me, 'til morrow's sol shines
two souls shall entwine

Your first stanza is the best of the poem. It engaged me. The language is romantic and enticing. I don’t feel that feeling throughout the whole poem. The last two lines of the last stanza are wonderful. I would love to see more imagery to really capture your moment. Great job.
