Destiny's Design

A Poem by Fran Marie

As I sat dwelling in deep thoughts

my face gazing up at the midnight sky

I beacme aware of

the moon's aloof distance

Stripped of solar warmth
My soul absorbed the coolness
of a pale blue moon
in a strange design of destiny

My mind became aligned with Venus
and lovely cosmic arrays of heavenly bodies
transferred a new warmth upon my face.

My senses attuned to the harmony
of the universal atmosphere
where a dynamic force of fascinations exist

My eyes skipped dancesteps
with a thousand shimmering stars
while my heatbeat fluttered with lightness
of a butterfly's wings around the milkyway

My spirit felt free-falling
admist this magic mystical night
my soul lifted from a sad lament
free to fly by destiny's design

Oh this is lovely, Fran Marie -- thanks so much for sharing it with me! I want to come back to it, so I'm putting it right into my Favorites. I love the mysteries and magic that live in the stars and the depths of the spaces among them, and you've found some of them and brought them here thru your words.

My top favorite line among several: my eyes skipped dancesteps. I love it!

Wonderful, wonderful poem. Thank you!

Magical. That's the one word that I feel describes my feelings as I read this. To note though, you've some spelling errors that may have come from quick-typing this piece. I suggest you read it over to correct them. But other than that, it was well-written.

Fran, this is a wonderfully-spun poem about spiritual rejuvenation through moonlight and starlight. Very soothing and enjoyable to read.just what the doctor ordered about now. Thanks for sending my way!
