`Mercy~`He Sighs`~sonnet~

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

He is dying ~ He asks of her to end his misery~ she does so with poisoned red wine~performing this mercy killing~It hurts her to grant him his dying wish~ she requests that the gods now take him from this mortal plane

"

He sighs her name with his last dying breath
She is his wind in the ashes of death
She pleas,by faint light of sad bluish moon
         bellowing mercy;his departure soon
His shadowed soul death may escort from pain
yes, such are these dark things you do in love's name.
His life intolerable, in misery claimed
nonetheless, she thought herself quite insane
now ssshh~'pon his lips, she drips silent red wine
releases his soul to the winds of time
she conceded his wish with heavy heart
depths of love appealed O' that gods do their part
She is his wind in the ashes of death
and her name he did sigh, with dying breath

wow -- oh my -- you've painted a descriptive tale with out telling us why -- a verity lays within it and the idea that we must understand is cast aside for the genuine feeling of compassion to appear instead -- with that I bow my head! wondrous write Fran --

This is a romantic's dream, very well done. So sad yet I can't help but admire the love.
