A Midnight Tale

~Sonnet~

A familiar darkness beckons to me
casting a deep evil spell 'pon my soul
yet, calm am I~tis my dim fate you see
I am compelled toward him,therefore i go

Luring me forth from blurring midnight dreams
in a sleepwalk trance~i follow his path
he waits in dark shadows with wicked schemes,
hungry-eyed look,and blood-red lips of death

This unearthly creature! a ghastly sight
has control,'Alas,destiny wields, cause
'I am one well aquianted with the night'
whence, I have danced upon wicked wind's pause

I tell this tale by midnight's pale moonlight
for i know well the aquiantance of night

This is good. I loved the font. It made it seem more like a poem from long ago. It reminded me a little of a folk song. I could see someone singing it around a camp fire! Great work.
