A Midnight TaleA Poem by Fran Marie
A familiar darkness beckons to me casting a deep evil spell 'pon my soul yet, calm am I~tis my dim fate you see I am compelled toward him, therefore i go Luring me forth from blurring midnight dreams in a sleepwalk trance~i follow his path he waits in dark shadows with wicked schemes, hungry-eyed look, and blood-red lips of death This unearthly creature! a ghastly sight has control,'Alas, destiny wields, cause 'I am one well aquianted with the night' whence, I have danced upon wicked wind's pause I tell this tale by midnight's pale moonlight for i know well the aquiantance of night © 2008 Fran Marie |
