A Poet's Pen

A Poet's Pen

A Poem by Fran Marie

Deep inside the poet's mind
his silent thoughts
come into view
leaping forth into his pen
written upon parchment
to be read perhaps by you

Burning words
seared upon page
as braided pearls
weave each line
Thus~ a poem is born
silent thoughts
brought forth
from the poet's mind

Tho~ they may be
mere thoughts
which contain words
of laughter or of tears
perchance you'll feel
the pain or joy
the poet imparts
and wishes
for you to share

his silent heart
touches the soul of you
it's how he wants
to present his art
and share his point of view

Tho~ Silent thoughts are tender~
A poet's pen
'tis mightier than the sword'
and writes of many things and dreams
a gift to guide the world

This a very true depiction of what writers want responses of their audience to be like. I like the usage of the word silent. Because you use it several times and stands out and makes you think about that word period, if you refuse to write or state what you believe. Great job.
