FlameA Poem by Fran Marielove
Like a moth to a flame
in a moment I feel
intense heat
your mystique of magic works its spell on me
rendering me incapable of denying your charm
yes, my composure slips into compelling defeat
little strength have I to escape this trance
this magnetic force consumes my total measure
and holds me captive giving my all to you
willingly my heart takes love's chance wrapped in your arms keeps me pleasantly tamed
no need to second guess love's pleasures nor need for alarm
I'm spellbound by this flame caught in lovelight's treasure
in ectasy where I belong.
