Dream Catcher

Dream Catcher

A Poem by Fran Marie

dream catcher

What Dreams
may come your way?
would that they
could. be good ones
to stay.
and chase the
evil ones away.

Set your dream catcher's
woven web
to seize those dreams
dancing in your head

As each night
you lie fast asleep
what good dreams
may come, are the
ones it will keep

Finding their way
to the center core
floating down the
sacred feather's floor

There free spirit dreams
will delight your soul
 bringing luck and harmony,
the good dream's goal

And those bad spirit dreams?
why, they shall no more exist
as they are caught
in the web's secret twist

The good spirit dreams
will have won
as the evil spirit dreams
disappear with the
morning sun

So have what dreams may come
As the Dream Catcher blesses
The Sleeping One

Love this! Great work, and very reassuring. Love Dream catchers and the legends behind them. Wonderful write, very soothing and almost in the form of a lullaby! Off to sleep for me now! Happy New Year!!!!!!

This poem has a calming effect on the reader. "The dream catcher blesses the sleeping one" almost like a lullaby! I liked this a lot, Fran. Lydia
