Love you are to me, drops of honeywine With each new kiss beneath the golden sun Your lips sweet bouquet, quench this thirst of mine Our love has entwined, for all time as one.
Valentine,we shall sing loves sweetest tune Share eternal bliss, 'neath a silver moon Of Cupid's Cup, we'll drink a toast to love Kindly condoned by the heavens above
Let's reach for the highest star in the sky These words of love, are meant for only you The sun, moon and stars, know this to be true Forever, we'll cherish love, you and I
You are to me sweet Love, my heart's delight These Words of Love I'll pledge, each day, each night.
Great mythic imagery for Valentine's Day: "drops of honeywine" in "Cupid's Cup." This is a wonderful answer to the Valentine's Day Challenge -- and you didn't even have to wrack your brain for something new! :D
This one hales back to Victorian romantic poetry for me. Love it. How did I miss it before?

Most definitely an oldie from years ago, thanks so much for reviewing and the notes..
Wow (I'm saying that a lot today). Very rarely do I read a sonnet that flows like the ones of our most famous poets, but this one does. Such beautiful and romantic words...wonderful!
Fran, you take my breath away. Your writing is so beautiful and I can feel it comes from the heart.
This is the way I want to write. You have such God given talent. If I could write like you I 'd probably keep a pen in my hand.
So very sweetly written. It is wonderful how deeply you feel love, and how tenderly your words flow from your heart. With an almost Shakespearen flare you paint wonderful images of gentle kisses being shared in a lovely setting. Nicely done.
