Hidden Darkness
Hidden within the darkness stays.
darken shadows that rarely show'
then it creeps up and i must go
,from yellow gladto black sad days.
Trying hard,in so many waysbut,
the dark side is hard to beat.
sinking into black pits of defeat
With forced smiles i try hiding fears
of life between, my eyes donned
in rose colored glasses over blue tears.
And there's no onei want to greet.
Tho~my darkness may appear to leavei
t's always hiddendeep for years.
fearing to wear my heart on my sleeve
it dwells in darkness hidden there
Hidden, much is kept hidden, and when we hide we know not what others think, but rather what we fear there thoughts to be. Darkness is where we hide, it envelopes us, and we are helpless to defeat it. No this is not a review, more a collection of my thoughts after reading this work. Indeed it does make one think.
Breathing deep the utter fear and shuttering the tears of deeply rooted anxiety ne'er so well worded. I've looked toward my feet through those very eyes when "there's no one I want to greet".
I like the rhyming scheme in this poem. really makes it work. like how it all comes together, the rhyme really brings the content out, how everything is strategically placed.
