I like the idea of reconciling differences, becoming a unified couple. The two lovers in your poem come a long way from the first stanza. From bitter fights to selfless unity.
Our lovers are most often our deepest friends and confidants, guardians against the injuries of the world. Your lines "a sun-filled destiny/meant for two lovers/to share" are a great way to describe that union. We are so much more when we overcome the differences in our relationships.

The stress of a strained relationship can be so hard to deal with. You love, you yearn, always at odds with one another. You've captured a very intimate look inside your heart. Thank you for sharing...
It's never pleasant but fighting is healthy in a relationship I think.
Nothing abusive obviously but airing disagreements...
Enjoyed the read Fran Marie!

Now that is just wonderful. I cannot do that - but you do it so well. What a lovely story of love.....turn the sharper edge of love's fate into soft surrender. I sigh, how lovely your poem is. Thank you. Hope I'm doing this right: 800 Members Tag (Poetry 101).
I really enjoyed this piece. I also loved the picture which really drew my into the mood of the poem.
Its like you taken what i'm feeling and jotted onto paper. Arguments can be caused by the silliest of thing especially when strong emotions, such as love , are involved. And sometimes we feel like we're fighting, but not fighting for us.
Why do two people who love one another argue? The question will never be sufficiently answered, will it? Any relationship involves a good bit of compromise...and some are not willing to give at all. While it is foolish, it is part of life....and those who truly love can get past disagreements. So very emotive. Lovely. Lydi**
