Autumn's Bouquet
A Poem by
Fran Marie
Autumn
In amber tones from misty jade green she makes her move onto the scene in all her bare beauty, yet fully dressed in golden hues she's at her best scarlet shades of red,and deep burgundy provide a picturesque view to capture our eyes An autumn queen dons her royal purple robe amidst yellow leaves entwined 'pon her clothes and sprink'ling rain adds a fresh wet scent 'tis autumn's parfume from the heavens sent with a sapphire mixture of her cool crisp air 'tis autumn's warm bouquet worn in her hair yes, oh yes, the heart is there.

This is such a fresh breeze of poetry here.
A woman's beauty is in her hues, hair, eyes, robes, scent and air.
Yes, a Heart is always right there.
So beautifully descriptive, images come alive and dance in a song.
Loved the imagery here. Thanks for sharing.

This is such a gorgeous poem! You did a fantastic job... I feel like it is Autumn already! (well, it technically is but not in Texas) :)

thanks Frieda, so vey much;
Simply spell-binding. I felt as if I was part of nature itself, flowing with the autumn's wind and dancing with the fresh droplets of rain; I relished every minute of it. Well done!

thanks S.F. so much, glad you liked this poem; ...
This was a beautiful read. Stunning color imagery. I love the idea of a woman representing autumn. You covered the most important qualities of autumn- its colors, atmosphere, and scent. Great job!

thanks so very much, Jessica; glad you enjoyed.
Beautiful lush images, and that is certainly how autumn should be portrayed. When I lived in the Midwest, it was my favorite season.

Vividly worded and artfully created; so passionate that the light golden hue of autumn seems to hang over each carefully constructed sentence.

Love the way you have personified fall as a woman in colorful clothes, wearing the perfume of Autumn. The natural rhymes make your poem flow well, adding to this beautiful image of the lady of Autumn. Thank you for sharing.
