`Romance and Roses`~Sonnet

`Romance and Roses`~Sonnet

A Poem by Fran Marie

` Romance and Roses`

Romance and roses speak a love so sweet
A love which fills mine heart elegantly
and as I'm drawn into thy body heat
willing victim  to your charm completely
Besieged by desires, I taste thy lips
Is it angel, demon? which drives this force?
tracing softly thy face with fingertips
woulds't thou love wish for me to take new course?
The radient glow of moon's magic light
O,Behold!~ silver night stars dance love's song
'Tis a love which fills my heart~ merry blithe
and doth render my soul, to thee belong

Yes,'Tis a Love which fills my happy heart
And Romance and Roses but play their part

'Tis love as delicate as lace. Your words bloom as spring with vibrancy and life. Feels very old world. Beautiful picture. Applauding!

Tranquil...dreamy...enticing...this has all of the elements of a truly great love sonnet. The last two lines are absolutely fabulous...they can be used as a metaphor for so many things. Beautiful!

This is so pretty, with beautiful language and put into a frame, old and perfected by masters far beyond our day. This was wonderful.
