Crystal Clear

Crystal Clear

A Poem by Fran Marie

Beyond the core
of man's mortal soul within
breathes in silence
immortality's mind

to know thyself
is as deep as the sea
and measureless
beyond time's boundry line

fathomless, deep
dark mystery's sea of thought
beyond one's core
curious,we must seek

diving inward
to express outward visions
beyond our core
we rise to a universe of crystal skies

To me, it reminds me of a thought I have very frequently. The idea that humans see themselves from birth to death. Opposed to understanding that the soul itself lives before our birth and after our death. The idea that the universe is unknown, and our soul is the only thing we will ever have the most knowledge about, over any book, idea, person, etc... Almost makes one wonder, why isn't the soul studied? Humans study everything else, except the soul?

Beautifully written. The whole time I had feelings of a dark space, but not evil. More of the dark, secure kind of place. Very dreamlike. The ending was beautiful, and I love the idea of crystal skies. Great imagery there. Good job! :D

It is true that we must search within to find our true strength.

A very poetic way to share a universal truth.

There is a spiritual elegance to this one. "beyond time's boundry line" We all wonder what will lie beyond the ultimate boundary. Intense poetry - very well written. Lydia
