Heartbeats lie; eyes defiant

This body beheld

Mind swelled

Thoughts arcane

Loving in the rain

Not scared of the deep

Never cowering when the darkness does creep

Staring in awe at the abyss

Consumed by a world gone amiss

Everything now; be heard

A calm will come, rest assured

It feels like we are always walking in the storm, waiting for the calm to return to a world of confusion and pain. Let's hope it returns sooner rather than later. Beautifully soft spoken words, drawing the reader into the page, lingering in thought after the last word is spoken. Great job.

I generally feel stormy in most of my days. Not violent, aggressive stormy always, but soft rain, lulling thunder, and some quick lightning to keep the spark alive. I can still find comfort there, but it's enough to hold me conscious and aware, and I am fortunate to find a gorgeous sunscape and billowy clouds when all is over.
